Bethany Joy Lenz is best known for her role as girl-next-door Haley on the WB teen hit One Tree Hill, and so far she’s managed to keep from marrying co-star Chad Michael Murray. After spending her childhood doing theater in her native Texas, Bethany’s Hollywood career took off with an appearance in the Stephen King adaptation Thinner (1996) and a two-year stint on the soap The Guiding Light. Following that role, Bethany scored one-episode guest spots on the TV shows Off Centre, Charmed, Felicity, and Maybe It's Me. She also appeared in the feature film End of August (2000), the TV movie The Legacy (2002), and two episodes of the CBS drama series The Guardian. In 2004, babely Beth donned a cheerleader outfit in the sports-comedy film Bring It On: Again (2004) and turned us on again. After her nine-year run on OTH in which she stayed exclusive to the series and accrued very few credits, Bethany got busy and has since landed roles in such projects as Dexter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Colony, Extortion (2017), Grey's Anatomy, and Blindfire (2020). She’s managed to keep her career fairly chaste, though, barring a few nice cleavage shots on One Tree Hill and a sideboob showing on the political drama series Pearson. However, Bethany is still young enough to start a skinematography and no one will remember her 20-plus year absence. And, oh, by the way, to her friends Bethany Joy is known simply as Joy, which is rather fitting, because, boy, does she bring joy to Mr. Skin.
