Already making waves as the new kid on the block when it comes to scrappy, low-budget filmmaking, this Asian-American Philly native write and directed her first short film Helicopter in 2016 at just 21. She followed that up two years later with another short film, The Terrestrials, before competing her first full length feature, 2021’s Actual People, in which she also stars as Riley, a philosophy student about to graduate from a New York college with no clue as to what comes next. It’s not a stretch to say the film is based on Kit’s own experience, not just because she and the character have similar backgrounds, but also because this weirdly dazed, post grad angst is not an unfamiliar phase. It’s an authentic and impressive debut for this rising nudecomer, who flashes her muff while ripping off a pair of panties. We’re hoping she keeps going so we can see more of Kit’s caboodle soon!
