What do blonde bombshell and television presenter Siân Lloyd, America’s brunette composer Arlene Sierra, and Peter O’Toole’s ex-wife Siân Phillips (who killed it as Livia on the 1976 hit I, Claudius) have in common? They are among the alluring alumni who graduated from Cardiff University. Of course, we’d be remiss not to add sexy thespian Sharon Morgan to this list. Hailing from the village of Llandyfaelog, the lovely lass didn’t think she had a chance to become a successful actress since her parents were both teachers. But Sharon beat the odds when she began scoring roles on stage and screen. Indeed, Sharon probably used her folks as inspiration when playing a professor on the BBC4 crime series A Mind to Kill (1994-2002). A decade earlier, the leading lady exposed her sense of humor (among other things) as Rachel Harris on the BBC sitcom The Magnificent Evans (1984). At that time, the boob tube babe also played Sylvia Bevan on the Welsh soap opera Pobol y Cwm (1984-1987). Diehard fans of the show will know Sharon previously portrayed Siân Jones on the series back in 1978. But not before the brunette ingénue made her screen debut in the TV movie Grand Slam (1978).
