Despite its R rating, Slugs: The Movie (1988) didn’t have a lot going for it. In fact, the scariest thing about the Spanish horror flick (that was partially shot in New York) was its frighteningly bad plot. In it, the hero (named Mike Brady) must battle killer snails. Yes, super slow moving slugs. Yet as the story about man-eating mollusks unfolded, audiences’ members felt slick and slimy due to one of the movie’s brighter spots: actress Tammy Reger. Boasting beautiful blue eyes and big blonde hair, the gorgeous ingénue is enough to put the thrills into this chiller diller — even when she utters the line, “Well of course I like you, but liking you and letting you get into my panties is a different kinda thing.” The onscreen tease admits her character Pam was, “kinda straight laced and annoying. She doesn’t want to go to a Halloween party because she thinks she should stay home and study. [She] leaves her boyfriend for getting too aggressive with a kiss…and en route back to the party is being followed by one of the bad boys so she jumps into an open sewer and [spoiler alert] is eaten by slugs!” Since then, the aspiring Scream Queen made a cameo in Slime City Massacre (2010). While raising a family, Tammy has been active in the Buffalo theater scene. However, we’d love to see more of the ravishing Ms. Reger via new films or found footage from her past performance — before Pam became slug spam!
