Tiki (2006)

Her body’s trapped in a coma, but the vindictive spirit of a Hawaiian co-ed emerges to terrorize her tormenters in the occult horror thriller Tiki (2006). A chilling offering from Charles Band’s Full Moon Pictures, Ron Ford’s film tells of a drama student (Tanya Morton) who’s misfortunate enough to fall prey to a prank that lands her in a near-vegetative state. The bullies manage to get off the hook with the law but hop out of the frying pan and into the fire when Julie’s (Morton) spirit wreaks havoc on their petty lives. Retribution would seem to be justified, but it’s a shame that the meddling ghost (in the guise of a tiki statue) has to time its attack during a lesbian threeway between the accused. Joelene Smith and Ashley Williamson-Payne had better enjoy their Sapphic experimentation while there’s still life in them.
